Silver Spring, Md. (Dec. 5, 2011) – Discovery Education has been honored with five industry awards from EdTech Digest, a publication featuring leaders in and around education dedicated to making a difference for future generations through the innovative use of technology. The awards recognize the best and brightest people in the education industry as well as transformative technology products and services. EdTech Digest recognized Discovery Education with two Leadership Awards, acknowledging Discovery Education CEO Bill Goodwyn for his passion and commitment to excellence in education and Discovery Education as a whole for setting trends in the industry.

“Innovation in education is expanding like never before, and it’s exciting to acknowledge the companies and products making the biggest difference,” said Victor Rivero, editor-in-chief of EdTech Digest. “Educators, administrators, parents and students are depending on real solutions. Discovery Education and the other honorees have raised the bar of excellence, and we are pleased to recognize their contributions to move education into the 21st century.”
