All students benefit from differentiated instruction, but the unique challenges faced by English Language Learners require specialized learning opportunities that afford multiple modes of content delivery, vocabulary development, and exposure to a variety of methods of language and content acquisition. In this course, participants will learn to use particular aspects of Discovery Education streaming to address the specific needs of English Language Learners. Discovery Education Professional Development Specialists will demonstrate how video, audio, closed captioning, interactives, self-paced assessment with immediate feedback, and more can be integrated with existing lessons to support English Language Learners. Specific attention will be given to using video, images, and audio in conjunction with vocabulary and content lessons.
