Justin Karkow began his educational career as a first grade teacher in Raleigh, North Carolina. An adventurer to the core, he begged, borrowed and scraped together enough resources for each of his students to be able to benefit from technology on a daily basis. He then assumed the role of an instructional technology facilitator in Wake County, North Carolina where he modeled effective use of technology to teachers and students. Before joining Discovery, Justin traveled the country sharing strategies for enhancing curriculum with digital media for the SAS Institute. Justin has presented at NECC, FETC and the DEN National and Regional Institutes.
They are passionate about what they do, and that is one thing I appreciate about Discovery Education Professional Development ..... these folks really believe in what they are doing and they know their stuff and they know the content.
