Liz Cottrell, Teacher Librarian, Hohokam Traditional Elementary School
"I use Discovery Education regularly via IDEAL and it is SO beneficial to my class. My ELD class has limited exposure and experience, and being able to show a short clip of something that we are reading, learning, or just talking about is so invaluable. Every time we come across something worthy of stimulating the curiosity of my class, they always ask to look it up online, or even better, for a video. We can’t access a lot of streaming video online, so Discovery Education is our only option. Thank goodness too, because I know I can trust that nothing inappropriate will pop up when I search the site."
Maryann Mulac, Teacher, Tavan Elementary
"I use Discovery Education at all three of my schools. It is a fast and easy way to supplement my orchestra classes with videos, stories and audio recordings. Students love it!"
Allison Hogue, Orchestra Instructor
"Not a week or even a day goes by that I don’t use Discovery Education in my classroom. I show clips as anticipatory sets for Language Arts lessons, films that I have created Cornell Notes for as instructional input, and I have even found an entire production of Macbeth done by the BBC to show to students studying Shakespeare. Some of the programs have their own accompanying teacher’s guides, which I find to be helpful and informative. The vast range of options makes Discovery Education an asset to my teaching practice and an excellent way to incorporate media and technology in the classroom."
Caryn Bird, English Teacher, Sierra Vista Academy
"I love Discovery Education!!! It has great educational videos that I can use to supplement just about any of my curriculum. My students are always interested and engaged with whatever I pull up."
Alison Iaboni, Teacher, Arcadia Neighborhood Learning Center
