SUMMARY:First Day of Fall
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the First Day of Fall ( https://app.discoveryeducation.com/learn/player/488ba011-4fbd-4d8a-906f-1188e1ac064b?utm_source=de_engagement&utm_medium=www&utm_campaign=timely-events-calendar&utm_content=septembertr ) with your students!\nDiscover more about winter, spring, summer, and autumn—the four seasons. Seasonal changes occur because Earth revolves on a titled axis around the sun. As you move away from the equator, increasingly higher-latitude locations do not receive the same amount of sunlight. The amount of sunlight impacts a location’s weather, ecology, and hours of daylight, which determine the season and relate to a time of year. In this channel, discover a collection of videos, images, songs, and writing prompts that explore the science behind the seasons and their environmental effects.\nA DE Subscription is required for this resource. \n
