2012 Social Learning Summit



SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 2012 -- 9:00-3:00 (ET)

The Discovery Educator Network is mixing it up a little this spring and trying something different.  Instead of the typical Spring Virtual Conference, the DEN has partnered with Classroom 2.0 to present the Social Learning Summit.  This event will take the place of the DEN Virtual Conference in 2012.  In conjunction with the DEN, Steve Hargadon will be organizing the event that will take place on Saturday, April 21st.

How to Attend

This year, there are several presentations during each time slot.  You have the option of choosing from a variety of sessions to challenge your thinking and expand your learning.

The schedule of sessions is set and can be viewed by going here.  Simply scroll down and click on your time zone to see which sessions will be occurring at the various times.  Later this week, each of the scheduled sessions will have their live session link added.  On the day of the event, simply click these links to attend the sessions of choice.


You don't need any special training  to attend the sessions, but we would like you to register here if you are attending virtually.  For more information about attending the event, visit this page and read the "Attending" information at the top.

The Social Learning Summit will consist of several presentations, up to 7, during each time slot of the conference.  Presenters from all over the country will be sharing their expertise.  There will also be a DEN track, with presentations from Discovery Educator Network team members as well as DEN GURUs and 2012 GURU applicants.  In addition, many DEN STARs are sharing their expertise as well.  For information on the special DEN track as well as the other DEN presentations, see below.
