DEN's Favorite Places

Open to all Classrooms Worldwide!

North America: DEN's Favorite Places
When: April 20th to June 15th, 2013

We are giving students and teachers the opportunity to share about their favorite places and also their schools, cities, and classrooms.

You and your students will be able to use the collaborative map to collect and display all kinds of information.

Get Your Students Engaged

Discovery Education is proud to share new learning opportunity featuring the upcoming Discovery Channel series, North America! We would like to invite you to participate in the DEN's Favorite Places project.

There are many wonderful things to see and to learn about North America. And who better to ask and to share, than you — the teachers and students of North America!

To do this, we invite you to contribute to a collaborative map where you can showcase some of your favorite places and also give a shout out to what is exciting and interesting about your city, your school, and your classroom. We also anticipate that this will be a helpful way for you to connect with other classrooms and to discover what they think is worth seeing and experiencing in North America.

We will be using Google Maps for our collaborative map and we invite you to set two placemarks.

The first placemark is about your local area.

We invite you to share about what you know best — your city, your school, your classroom.  Go ahead and boast and let us know what is great about your local area.
