DEN Geocaching Day

The DEN Community ventures out each spring to connect with fellow educators and hunt for caches on DEN Geocaching Day.  This year, DEN Geocaching Day is May 17.

DEN Geocaching Day -  May 17, 2014

Each spring, we encourage every STAR Discovery Educator to venture out with some colleagues on DEN Geocaching Day. This is a great opportunity to have some fun geocaching as you connect with fellow educators. For groups that register, we will send special DEN geocoins and a few other goodies. Coins from previous years can be seen below.

If you're a DEN STAR, sign up to be a guide and lead your own Geocaching group with other educators.

Our experience hosting the Virtual Conference was rewarding because it exemplified the types of teaching and learning opportunities we're fostering and supporting locally. Not only did we get to learn about exciting new and existing resources, but we did so via a medium that connects people and ideas that extend beyond those within our physical boundaries. We believe it's our professional responsibility to share and discuss what's possible and are grateful for the Discovery Education Network for its efforts to help teachers and students everywhere.
