Silver Spring, Md. and Santa Clara, Calif. (Jan. 30, 2012) – Discovery Education and Intel Corporation have named Diane Scher, a Technology Assistant at North Myrtle Beach Primary School, the winner of the ‘Catch Me Being Curious’ national sweepstakes. Chosen from nearly 80,000 entries from across the country, Scher won an all-expense paid family vacation to Yellowstone National Park.

“I am thrilled to have won the ‘Catch Me Being Curious’ sweepstakes and am honored that I get to embark on this amazing vacation to Yellowstone National Park with my family,” said Scher. “I can’t thank Discovery Education and Intel enough for this adventure. This will give my family the opportunity to discover new places and explore and embrace the world around us.”

Scher and her family will travel to Yellowstone National Park on an all-expense paid trip where they will explore hundreds of geysers and hot springs, observe wild animals, such as bears, wolves, elk and buffalo, and enjoy a variety of exhibits, films and Ranger-led programs. They will also make stops at Mt. Rushmore, Little Bighorn and the Grand Tetons.

“Discovery Education is committed to providing educators, students and their families with the resources and opportunities to explore the world around them and ignite their natural curiosity in science,” said Andy Schaefer, Discovery Education vice president. “We are proud to offer this exciting opportunity for exploration and discovery to a dedicated and deserving educator like Diane.”
