New York City Public Schools Financial Literacy Event Series

Virtual Professional Learning Series | Spring 2024

 
Inviting all teachers, parent coordinators, counselors, and school-based leaders to attend!
 
The Discovery Education team has worked with the Save for College team within the NYC Public Schools Office of Student Pathways to identify Professional Learning sessions focused on Financial Literacy education.
 
Each session in this series emphasizes a different approach and asset that can be used to provide financial education, allowing educators to bring their personal experiences to the classroom and find ways to make the lessons they provide relevant to their students.
 
CTLE credit or per session for eligible titles (contingent upon funding availability) will be approved upon completion of the full hour session and submission of work product.

Onsite Professional Learning 2024

NYC Public Schools Financial Literacy Ambassadors will receive a day of in-person professional learning. During this full day experience, participants will learn how to use a variety of digital tools, resources, and instructional strategies to teach financial literacy to students. After completing the training, educators will be expected to create a plan for sharing these strategies and resources with their colleagues.

This experience will be led by two professional learning facilitators to accommodate a maximum of 50 participants.
