Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. Established in 1985 to honor the memory of Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique (Kiki) Camarena, the Red Ribbon campaign symbolizes a commitment to raise awareness of the destruction caused by drugs in America.
