Charlotte, NC (Monday, October 24, 2022) – Jackson Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit advancing financial knowledge on a national scale, announced today St. Aloysius in Sauk City, WI as the winner of the 6th annual Cha-ChingTM Money Smart Kids Pledge Challenge.

The Cha-Ching Money Smart Kids Pledge Challenge gives K-6 schools in the United States a chance to win a $10,000 grant from the Jackson Charitable Foundation for financial literacy education at their school, along with $1,000 designated for a philanthropic donation of the school’s choosing. Specifically designed for elementary school educators, families, and community members to demonstrate their dedication to financial literacy, the Challenge nurtures virtual collaboration by enabling entrants to vote online daily to increase their school’s chance of winning.

“It is a joy to see communities collaborate for the benefit of students! Congratulations to St. Aloysius for their commitment to financial literacy. We applaud your dedication to the success of your students,” said Danielle Robinson, Executive Director, Jackson Charitable Foundation.

To celebrate, St. Aloysius hosted an event for students, teachers, and community members featuring a financial literacy activity. As the contest winner, the school intends to use the Cha-Ching Money Smart Kids Challenge grant and donation money to:

  • $10,000 grant: The school will use the funds to purchase new computers and classroom materials to support financial literacy instruction.
  • $1,000 donation: The students selected Sauk Prairie Food Pantry.

“Thanks to the generosity of the Jackson Foundation, St. Aloysius School students will have the opportunity to learn an enhanced financial literacy program for the first time. There are several projects that we have wanted our students to take on in the area of finance and administration. Now, the dream of giving our students an enriched experience will come true. We are very excited and grateful to the Jackson Charitable Foundation, Discovery Education, and our St. Aloysius’ community for making it all possible!” said Daniela Saldana, Principal at St. Aloysius.
